What’s fresher than the candy-like town name of Minto, Ontario?

The Canadian community’s decision to wean off of paper. As content management systems grow increasing popular amongst municipalities, Minto’s switch will keep the town cooler than a spearmint.

Municipal operations in the city are expected to benefit from savings of about $12,000 as Minto switches from paper records to a document management software.

Council agendas and other documents will be converted to a digital storage solution, and councilors and the public will begin following the agendas on monitors.

Besides the huge savings, more secure records and accuracy were two more reasons for the town’s transition away from paper.
