An alternative investing startup operating on a paperless platform is poised to change the investment market.

Bruce Rogers, Forbes' chief insights officer, wrote about Venovate, a company that connects investors with private securities offerings through an online marketplace. The startup helps people research and invest in all sorts of things, such as companies, real estate and natural resources. He noted that the company could even be a catalyst to jump-starting President Obama's JOBS Act.

The innovative business also uses a content management service that streamlines transactions. Paperless document delivery and electronic signatures are both the norm for Venovate. Even more complex transactions such as vetting investor accreditation are done without paper.
