The ScanPro 3000 features a customizable interface that keeps the tool bar simple. Just load your film, click the Film Selection Wizard to automatically set up your scanner, and your scanner is set up with only the tool bar controls needed for that particular film. The interactive on-screen help menu is always available at your fingertips for questions or more information about how to use any button control.

The Magic Button

Use the SPOT-Edit™ feature for live image editing of selected text and pictures while all other areas remain unchanged. In addition, the AUTO-Adjust tool automatically straightens the on-screen ScanPro 3000 shown with combination fiche and motorized 16/35 mm film carrier image and properly adjusts brightness and contrast, making your image clear and easier to work with. Some have referred to this as the “magic button.”

Always in Focus

FOCUS-Lock is an exclusive feature found only on ScanPro microfilm scanners. That feature maintains image focus through optical zoom at all times. That results in the ScanPro is always ready to be used for making looks ups and completing research easier, faster and more efficiently. Scanners without FOCUS-Lock go out of focus immediately when optical zoom is used and are both difficult to use and time consuming to operate.

OCR & Automatic Scanning

The ScanPro 3000 OCR features are revolutionizing the way researchers, genealogists, librarians and patrons use microfilm. They are bundled together as the PowerScan Productivity Suite and work with the microfilm image that you see on the view screen. This optional OCR software consists of WORD-Search, INFO-Link, copy selected areas as text to your “clipboard”, and creates word searchable PDFs. And, automatic scanning, standard on the ScanPro 3000, lets you scan selected images or the entire roll. Or, you can add the optional AUTO-Scan^® Pro for high speed scanning of selected images or the entire roll.
