The Lindale, Texas, city council recently voted to go paperless, according to the Lindale News-Times. The city will utilize cloud services for information storage and iPads for access during meetings.

According to the news source, implementing an information management system will help the city save significant resources in the future.

Going paperless can have a number of benefits of any organization, whether a local government or a business. From reducing costs associated with printing to improving productivity, these advantages can result in major changes, such as increased success in the industry or reduced stress in the workplace.

Ultimately, any organization that goes paperless has to invest in document management to handle incoming information, and an imaging service to convert records and archives to digital, as well. This allows for streamlined management of information and true paperless operations. Though not all businesses are run the same, with the right management solution, any can reap the benefits and streamline workflow for more efficiency and better operations in the future, while helping to reduce its impact on the environment today.
