School Administrators & Approved Third-Parties Can Now Schedule Events in Community Service Manager

Tampa, FL – Image One, the leader in streamlining high school community service tracking, today announces that Community Service Manager 2.0 is now available. The major new feature in 2.0 is that school administrators can now schedule events directly in the software as well as give access to approved third-parties so they can also add events. There is no better way to combat student procrastination and end-of-year panic.

Community Service Manager

Community Service Manager from Image One is web-based software that streamlines student sign-up, activity monitoring and reporting. As a result, Community Service Manager helps ensure that students participate in the most meaningful service events available while easing the administrative burden for school service coordinators.

Students sign up for events in Community Service Manager, which automatically logs the student’s completed service hours and gives student the ability to add reflections or photos from the event. Service coordinators then verify the student’s attendance upon completion of the event. The completed service hours are then reported to students, parents and school administration.

How Event Scheduling Works

Community Service Manager 2.0 allows school administrators and approved third parties the ability to add events. This includes setting limits for how many “slots” there are for each community service opportunity. Students can peruse all events without having to ask school administrators when they’re short on community service hours and they can register for these events online.

For example, a school administrator can give access to Community Service Manager to a nonprofit like the Humane Society, who can then add a few events and designate how many students can volunteer for each. Community Service Manager than tracks all subsequent volunteering activity with reporting available to administrators.

Other New 2.0 Features

Based on user feedback from version 1.0, the following features have been added to Community Service Manager 2.0 in addition to event scheduling:

  • New: notification rule type of document linked
  • Change: notification rules can now have a value of zero for the days which will cause it to run “almost” immediately
  • New: notification rules now have an “effective date” relative to the request creation date, which will prevent the notification rule running against older requests
  • New: group permissions have been implemented
