United Airlines employees to receive mobile devices

Friday, December 19, 2014

United Airlines announced a gift for its employees just in time for the holiday season.

Beginning in the second quarter of 2015, the airline’s 23,000 employees will get mobile devices in a push to go paperless in-flight. These will be used for retail transactions, accessing company email and logging into employee sections of the website.

Pilots, who began receiving tablets in 2011, will be given updated devices to work with.
