Worker’s compensation goes digital in Florida {VIDEO}

In the Sunshine State, injuries at work are about to get a bit easier to deal with.

Florida’s Office of Judges of Compensation Claims implemented document management software, which allows people to make digital claims with the office, and stores each case in a database.

Each case will contain all the data required for a compensation claim.

Previously, with documents packed into filing cabinets, deadlines were sometimes missed.

When an attorney creates the compensation case, he or she is automatically noted as the attorney of record.

It is small workflow automation changes such as these that will make compensation claims easier in the future.
