The Newest Version Includes Powerful Workflow Automation & Print Stream Capture That Combine to Cut Manual Document Processing by 90%.

OpenText Application Content Management (formerly ApplicationXtender) 20.4 now includes a new workflow automation engine powered by OpenText AppWorks, replacing Workflow Manager. ACM 20.4 also captures digital print streams with its integration with OpenText Output Transformation Server (OTS), replacing Reports Manager.

Combined with a few additional enhancements, ACM 20.4 allows your workforce to focus on more important functions while eliminating 90% of manual data entry and searching in AP, HR, AR, legal, the mailroom, and other departments mired in manual, document-centric processes.

Integration with OpenText AppWorks

OpenText AppWorks is a low-code development platform for building engaging, smart and easy-to-deploy process automation and dynamic case management applications. With no need for IT involvement, AppWorks automates business processes, enables better decision making, and improves user experiences. It also creates new opportunities to re-engineer processes around changing customer, employee, and partner needs.

Integration with OpenText OTS

Organizations with large volumes of print or PDF-based reports can now organize and digitize them in a single step with Output Transformation Services (OTS) for ACM 20.4. The add-on module provides print stream transformation from a variety of sources (folders, FTP, email, MQ, HTTP, web services). This content is then indexed and processed to match with your Application Content Management (formerly ApplicationXtender) 20.4 naming and metadata.

Additional Features

  • Integration with Your Applications: ACM 20.4’s web service languages, connectors and REST services packages ensure that users have one-click document access in the software they use every day.
  • Easy Metadata Management: ACM 20.4 makes metadata capture straightforward so it can be quickly found by users after it is captured, including from your own metadata lists and database libraries (e.g. purchase order list from the ERP, an ICD-10 code, or a list of employees); “type ahead” functionality also allows users to choose the right term, no matter how long or technical the word or phrase.
  • Process-Focused Organization: ACM 20.4’s granular search and saved search options that auto-update with new related documents enable users to track documents across all of the processes they work in during the day; the robust rendering engine provides a quick view of multiple pages so that users can look through large documents before opening the whole document.
  • UI Updates, And More: The 20.4 release also includes AX Web UI performance improvements, updated versions of the AngularJS & jQuery libraries, and SSO support for OKTA and AUTH0 IdP (Id Providers).
