One Australian film producer has completed what he believes to be one of the first features shot almost entirely without paper.

Producer Hayden Fortescue recently finished action comedy "Broken Contract," and the paper cost for the production was a mere $3.50, according to If Magazine. For storyboarding and other tasks that typically require paper, he used an app on his tablet.

Fortescue said that he decided to shoot without paper because he was tired of the waste he had seen on previous jobs. Technology like content management services has advanced enough to make paper unnecessary – so why not shoot without it?
